We are pleased to confirm that Adventure Segway will re-open daily from Saturday 25 July, 2020.
Adventure Segway operates on Council property, and unfortunately Mount Edgcumbe has delayed the normal operation of all it’s facilities (including opening the car park, toilets, formal gardens and cafe’s) until 24 July, 2020.
Whilst we are also dissappointed by this, our decision to re-open is based on our understanding that the accessible use of these facilities forms an integral part of your enjoyment and requirement here.
CANCELLED SESSIONS BETWEEN 28 MARCH – 24 JULY, 2020
There is no requirement to contact us. If you have a pre-booked session scheduled between 28 March – 24 July, 2020 then we have now made your booking with us open-dated. This means you can now visit us when we re-open on any alternative operating date that is convenient for you.
If you would like to guarantee a reservation on a specific date and time before you journey to us then please give us a call on 0371 789 1024 and leave us a voicemail including your surname, order number, revised visit date and session time (either 11.30am, 1.30pm or 3.30pm) and we will send you an updated order confirmation within 24 hours.
CAN I UPGRADE FOR FREE?
Donâ€™t worry about our terms, weâ€™ve relaxed them. You wonâ€™t be required to upgrade or pay any difference in price or a rescheduling fee and there is no time limit for which youâ€™ll need to visit us in the future. You can now choose to take advantage of joining us on any expedition in the summer months or Halloween Glide & Glow instead.
CAN I GET A REFUND INSTEAD?
Unfortunately this sustained closure is for reasons beyond our control and due to the unique nature of this unprecedented situation we are not providing a refund for existing bookings. Adventure Segway is a permanent, year-round visitor experience so we hope you can support us by finding a convenient time to visit in the future.

I HAVE A GIFT VOUCHER THAT’S ABOUT TO EXPIRE
Donâ€™t worry, any outstanding Adventure Segway gift or experience vouchers will automatically be extended by the amount of days weâ€™ve been closed since Monday 23 March, 2020.
IF YOU HAVE A VOUCHER SUPPLIED FROM INTO THE BLUE
As this is a third-party retailer with their own terms you will need to contact them directly to assist you further if your voucher expired during our period of closure.
If you have already made a booking with us and received an Adventure Segway booking confirmation then no further action is required. You can simply amend your experience to an alternative date as per all the details given above.

Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present. We cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit. Our company is committed to doing everything possible to assist visitors with a safe environment for which everyone can have fun together.
We are making some temporary changes to our usual operating practice to ensure we operate a safe enviroment for everyone.
We will be limiting the group size to 11 participants in any one session. This means larger groups of 12 or more (all corporate events, social clubs, stag and hen do’s etc.) will been cancelled for the remainder of our 2020 season.
We usually only have a few minutes between the return of one group and the start of another. To limit the amount of people in our welcome building and training area at any one time, we will space sessions out to ensure there is a minimum 30 minute window between sessions. This will also allow our team a little more time to sanitize frequent touch points between every session.
USE OF FACIAL MASKS
We will kindly ask our visitors to wear a facial mask during the one-on-one training session at the start of your experience. It’s likely you will be required to wear a facial mask only for approximately 10 minutes of your 90 minute experience.
RELAXATION OF HELMET RULE
Until now, we required all visitors to use our own supplied helmets, because we retain a log of thorough checks of all of our safety equiptment. However, until further notice, you are welcome to bring and use your own personal helmet instead of using one of our own.
QUARANTINE OF ALL SAFETY EQUIPTMENT
We have enough helmets and whistle lanyards to ensure these items are used on a rotational basis and are only used by one person during any 48 hour period.
USE OF HAND SANITIZER
We have one touch point during the adventure, and that’s consistantly holding onto the vehicle handlebars. We will be providing hand sanitizer to all our visitors, and will ask them to use it prior to boarding a vehicle. We also have open toilets which you can use to thoroughly wash your hands before you leave at the end of your session.
To promote 2m physical distancing throughout the attraction, we will install signage in the visitor areas to encourage everyone to maintain physical distancing. Training area seating will also be modified to maintain physical distancing from other participants that are not in your group. We will also encourage everyone to pay using contactless technonolgy and there is no minimum spend requirement.
